An NBA 1st Half point spread allows a bettor to wager on how many points a team will win or lose by in the first half of a game. A favorite of -3 has to win the first half by 4 or more while an underdog of +3 needs to win the half OR lose by less than 3 point to cover the spread.
Favorite bets are displayed with a "-" sign followed by the amount of points they are laying while underdogs get a "+" sign followed by the amount of points they are receiving.
